ACM Multimedia Systems 2016 Conference – May 10-13, 2016, Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, Austria

Demo Session to Showcase Research Prototypes, Systems, and Applications

Hochosterwitz

While autumn has fully arrived here in Klagenfurt – in some parts of the country also winter arrived earlier than expected – we would like to introduce the demo session at ACM MMSys 2016. The goal of the demo session is to provide researchers, engineers, and scientist an opportunity to showcase their research prototypes, systems, and applications to MMSys attendees. Demos are intended as real, practical, and interactive proof of the presenters’ research ideas and scientific or engineering contributions, with the goal of providing multimedia researchers and practitioners with the opportunity to discuss working multimedia systems, applications, prototypes, or proof-of-concepts. Such a setting allows conference attendees to view and interact first hand with live evidence of innovative solutions and ideas in the field of multimedia and to see leading edge research at work.

The technical demo call for papers is available here including all the necessary details with the important dates as follows:

  • Submission deadline: February 5, 2016
  • Acceptance notification: March 23, 2016
  • Camera ready deadline: April 8, 2016

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to send an email to the dataset chairs

or contact us directly.

Dataset Track enabling Reproducible Research

1952Autumn is approaching here in Klagenfurt (see pictures) and we would like to use the opportunity to introduce you to the ACM MMSys Dataset Track. In particular, ACM MMSys encourages the use of common datasets for experimentation leading to reproducible research. As an integral part of the conference since 2012, the Dataset Track provides an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to make their work available and citable. Authors publishing datasets will benefit by increasing the public awareness of their effort in collecting the datasets.

Accepted dataset papers are presented orally during MMSys and archived both at the UMassTraceRepository and QUALINET Databases.
